The menu is a sumptuous journey through Germany’s rich culinary heritage. Complementing this is the delicately seasoned Jager Schnitzelmit Spatzle Und Gemischtem Salat, serving up comforting layers of flavor with tender schnitzel paired with traditional egg noodles and fresh salad.
This is also the place to indulge in Bavarian classics like the giant Bavarian Pretzel, perfect for sharing and dipped into rich mustard or cheese spreads, and the hearty Wurste Mit Krauter Kartoffelsalat Und Sauerkraut that offers a nostalgic taste of German sausages balanced by herbal potato salad and tangy sauerkraut.
Satisfy your sweet tooth with traditional desserts such as the Apple Strudel—flaky, buttery, and filled with spiced apples—and the exquisite Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte (Black Forest Cake), a luscious combination of chocolate, cherries, and whipped cream that melts in your mouth. The Prinz Regenten Torte also shines as an elegant Munich royal cake, offering a sophisticated finale to your meal.
To complement the rich and robust flavors of the food, Bavarian Grill features an impressive selection of authentic German brews. From the crisp and refreshing Hacker-Pschorr Hefeweizen to the robust Weltenberger Asom Bock and the seasonal delight of October Fest Beer, the beer menu is a love letter to Bavarian brewing traditions. Customers have raved about the pairing, with many highlighting beers like the Weihenstephaner HefeWeizen as some of the best they’ve encountered.
The attentive and friendly staff further enhance the dining experience. Several visitors have praised servers like Franklin for their warmth and patience, especially helpful for first-timers navigating the rich German menu. Whether it’s the knowledgeable recommendations or the spirited Umpa singer providing lively background entertainment, Bavarian Grill consistently offers an experience colored with genuine hospitality.
While a few guests have mentioned occasional pacing delays during busy times, the overall feedback points to a restaurant dedicated to authenticity and guest satisfaction. The complimentary bread basket and flavorful onion soup set a delightful stage for the meal ahead, inviting diners to savor each bite and sip.

Been looking for a good German, Bervarian style restaurant. Fit the bill... North West of Dallas it's a haul from Houston, but worth the trip. The umpa singer was great, the food was great, beer great. Had a good time... We will be back!
First time trying German food and we were a bit hesitant about how to properly order but the waiter was great at being patient and made great recommendations. Overall, all the dishes had a very in depth and layered flavors and seasonings. The highlight was the pork hock, super tender, crispy skin and smoky. Their recommended sides paired well. The Weihenstephaner Hefe-Weizen is one of the best wheat beers I’ve had. The restaurant is very kids and family friendly. In one of the sections, there are operating model trains and they kept the kiddo entertained for the entire time and we were able to truly enjoy our meal. The decorations make you feel as if you were dining at grandma’s. Despite being a big restaurant, it felt cozy.
Server named Franklin was amazing and very friendly! It was my first time dining here at Bavarian Grill, and I really enjoyed das schnitzel with gravy an Oktoberfest bier. Prost! ???????? A little slice of Bavaria and Austria here in Texas. Will definitely come back for Oktoberfest. Danke schön!
Bavarian atmosphere was good. Almost made me carry on in German. I actually spoke German to one of the staff who asked me how the food was. He didn't understand anything I said. As to the staff, other than the aforementioned bus boy, no one asked how my food was. I was surprised by that. Usually the staff is most curious and eager for feedback. We'll they will find my feedback in this review. The waiter was always hurriedly scurrying about. While attending me he never stayed more than a few seconds. As for the food, I enjoyed the yeagerschnitzel. I prefer a thicker cut but this is Austrian not German food. It was very good for what it was. The spatzle was good and only needed a light sprinkling of salt which I added myself. A live according player wes a nice touch and bumped the atmosphere up a notch to 5 stars. Feeling hungrig? Head over to Bavarian Grill. Next time I am having a beer!
If you’re in Plano, TX please make sure you stop by this restaurant. While traveling my boyfriend and I got a hotel nearby here that made us curious as to what the place was like. Inside it feels like if TGIF went German. Nostalgic German decorations line the shelves and they were clean. The waitress we had was friendly and helpful. Even though the kitchen was a little behind, we understood we were eating authentic German food that takes time. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time here, we hope you do too.
Sabrina was great! The food was excellent! I enjoyed the old location due to the atmosphere and coziness of it. This is more spacious and still has the cozy feeling as before. It’s amazing for a date night or a great lunch. Highly recommended!
Went for my birthday and the food and beer were wonderful! They played happy birthday with bells. It was so cool. The desserts were insane. Definately coming back.
Lance was our server! Lance is a great server! Lots of warmth and charisma. He is very professional and gives great suggestions! Great food, great music, great atmosphere! We were sat in front of the live music a humble man playing the accordion! Some of the best live music we’ve heard!
